Over my time at school, I was always nervous to do photo and video shoots that included humans. But I had to push through and do them on a few occasions, and honestly, they were the ones I had the most fun! There are three specific ones that I will go into further detail.
My commercial
The first one is my commercial I did for a local business. Although this was probably one of the assignments, I had a blast creating. I am grateful to have had the help of friends to make this, but I am also really proud of the end product!

Acting out a “fake engagement”?
The second one that I was really happy with was a fake engagement photoshoot I did for a class. Similar to the first one, I had help from two of my friends. We would have an extracurricular activity in the evening, and I asked them to arrive a bit earlier, and we took photos of a fake engagement. There was a moment where we were doing some of the photos in front of people, which was weird, since they were never actually engaged, but they were pretending to be… It raised a few questions, but overall, I was so happy with the result and learned how to work with models, which helped me for the next photoshoot I did for an assignment!

On-location client work
The last one I will talk about is client work I did for one of my friends. She is a local author, so I thought I would reach out to her and see if she wanted me to do a promotional shoot for her, which I can also use for my assignment. She said yes! She helped me organize the location, since she already had a contact with someone who works at Chapters. This was a photoshoot that I had a lot of fun doing.

In all of these, I would say that I also discovered who I am as a photographer and videographer. These are just a few examples of some of the works I am really proud of, regarding my photography and videography, since most of it, I had to try something that scared me, but in the end, I discovered that it was something fun, and I shouldn’t have been as nervous as I was.
